Karla
Seamons is a recent graduate from Dixie State University where she earned her
Bachelor’s Degree in English. During her time there she had creative works
published in the university’s literary journal The Southern Quill,
including a piece that received the third place award for the Annie Atkins
Tanner Memorial scholarship. She is a lifelong lover of literature and writing
who squeezes in time for both while keeping up with her six children and
amazing husband.
10:00 – 11:00 —Book trailers, creating a story board
for your book trailer. Check Slimekids for samples. blogs, power point
presentations. Book Bub? Amy’s success with an ad. See some samples, good and
not so good. Do they work?
11:00 – 11:30 – Break – snacks, socialize
11:30 – 2:00 – Plotting – using a spread sheet. Why
it works.
Amy Jarecki, co-president of HWG, is a bestselling author of Scottish historical romance and has won
multiple writing awards. She lives in St. George with her husband, Bob. For
fun, she hikes, bikes and plays a mean game of golf. Born in California, Amy
holds an MBA from Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh, Scotland.
